Bio
I am an author of books on space and tech management, such as Engineering is Broken (Springer, 2026), and I study why engineering projects fail, obsessed with making the engineering craft better. I have 23 years of experience across cyber-physical systems' hierarchy and mission-critical engineering for defense & space.
In 2021, I published a book titled NewSpace Systems Engineering (Springer), which tackles the challenges of creating complex products in the context of small enterprises. I have also independently published a free ebook in Spanish called La Ciencia Dura (The Hard Science) about the beauties of studying engineering and designing complex systems. In 2023, I published Space Technology: A Short Introduction also through Springer.
Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) as certified by INCOSE.
Doctoral Researcher at Aalto University, working on novel methods for detecting in-field defects in 2.5D/3D ICs and chiplet interconnects.
